Unfortunately the narrative around L.A. has included its share of cynicism, the blame game, and all that’s supposedly broken about this city. But being here, witnessing the overwhelming outpouring of support, reveals a different story. Communities are stepping up in remarkable ways. Neighbors helping neighbors and strangers showing up for one another. Generosity is abundant.

There’s countless ways to lend a hand right now, be it volunteering, donating, or simply showing up for one another. Whether you were affected by the fires or not, we’re all striving for the same basic things; safety, comfort, happiness, love, and connection.
